DKS Drache Calcium Silicate

Numerous components made of Drache Calcium Silicate (DKS) are used in Aluminium continuous casting and mould casting. Drache's focus are parts made from DKS200, a carbonfibre-reinforced Calcium Silicate. Some typical components made of DKS200 have been successfully used: for example, as transition plates for Wagstaff casting tables, hot top rings for billet casting or mould plates for Hertwich horizontal casting machines.

Parts like launder dams are made from Monalte M1A Calcium Silicate.

Parts made of DKS200 and M1A are manufactured according to customer specifications on modern machining centres by CNC machining. The components can also be coated with Boron Nitride at Drache.
