The Filter-Combibox is primarily suitable for casting lines with low flow rates combined with long-running campaigns (e.g. strip casting or wire casting), requiring as little interference with the process as possible. In casting breaks, the Aluminum can be kept liquid inside the box. The purging unit with graphite rotor provides efficient degassing and cleaning of the molten aluminum. Immersion heaters keep the metal liquid in the box during casting breaks. The metal temperature can also be regulated during casting. A space-saving vertical ceramic foam filter removes impurities and calms the metal flow out of the box. The Drache filter combi box is primarily suitable for casting systems with low casting speeds and where long casting times without interruptions are required, such as belt or wire casting systems.
