DBN was developed by Drache and is produced in-house at Drache’s own manufacturing facility. It is a coating primarily used for aluminium casthouse applications.
The coating is manufactured on modern equipment, ensuring excellent and consistent quality. It is available in three different types, which differ in their boron nitride content.
The coating can be used either directly or needs to be diluted prior to use, depending on the type.

Even very thin DBN coating layers with a thickness of 100 microns only give excellent efficiency.
DBN is characterised by excellent non-wettability and excellent chemical resistance to all aluminium alloys.
The coating is manufactured on modern equipment, ensuring excellent and consistent quality.
Concentrated version with a boron nitride content of 25%. Must be diluted with water before use. DBN 25i is the most common version of DBN. Also available with “Anti-Freeze” an anti-freeze additive on request.
Less concentrated variant with a boron nitride content of 15%. Should be diluted with water before
application.
Ready-to-use variant of the DBN. Can be used directly as a ready-to-use diluted coating.
