Have fun and enjoy ourselves together
Last weekend at Drache, everything revolved around camaraderie, good cheer, and a special anniversary. In Hall 2, we celebrated this year’s summer party together with our employees and their families. At the same time, the event provided the perfect setting to honor the 25th anniversary of Drache Fused Silica production.
Despite the rain at the start, colleagues from all departments came together and enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon that eventually turned into a wonderful summer evening. The catering team from Diez took care of the food, treating guests to a varied summer barbecue buffet and a mobile bar.
Anyone looking for some action could try their hand at rodeo bull riding or human foosball. The attractions at “Spring vor Glück” led to many exciting showdowns, competitive spirit, and plenty of laughs.
We hadn’t forgotten our younger guests either: A bounce house kept them active, and @emma_bp’s face painting transformed the children into imaginative characters. Even a few of our colleagues got in on the fun and had their faces painted. The photo booth then produced plenty of funny souvenir photos.
Another special highlight was the potter’s wheel that our colleague Uli had brought from her personal collection. With great patience, she gave interested guests brief introductions to the art of pottery. This allowed both young and old to get creative, gain their first experiences at the potter’s wheel, and shape their own little works of art out of clay. This extraordinary activity was a huge hit. Thank you for that!
DJ Erik Altenhofen provided the musical entertainment for the event; with his varied mix, he created a great atmosphere and kept the guests entertained well into the evening.
Once again, the summer party was a wonderful opportunity to get together and chat outside of our daily work routine and to strengthen the sense of community at Drache. Special thanks go to everyone involved—volunteers, service providers, and organizers—who made this party possible.
We’re already looking forward to our next summer party together!
